1959 MGA DeLuxe
Paperwork up to date
On offer is an immaculate MGA DeLuxe 1600. This model presented in the lovely Iris blue with a dark blue soft top that gives the whole package a gorgeous look when viewed with the black interior that has light blue piping.
The vehicle in question comes from one of the top car collectors in the country…a very well respected enthusiast and racer who has a super technical knowledge and understanding for vintage and classic vehicles where even the likes of the Franschoek Motor Museum call on him for particular work. This MGA has recently undergone a full ground up restoration and the result is simply outstanding. A big emphasis has been placed on the driver, so this gem of motor vehicle handles and goes better than when she left the factory. Small tweaks here and there have just made it such a pleasure to drive, that’s it’s the type of classic you want to jump in and drive off into the sunset for hours whilst taking the long route there. It’s a about the journey and boy, does this firecracker deliver in a big way when pressing on!
The 1600cc motor has some real go faster bits and with its high compression raised pistons, a fast road cam, balanced and with an oil cooler that just allows her to open up and sing along the open road. Performance is certainly frisky, yet it’s still completely useable around town. Hot summer days are all a breeze with the top down and as you would excpect, a car of this calibre has no overheating issues….another feather in the cap to make this MGA really stand out above the rest.
The DeLuxe models were known for the front wheel disc brakes and the Iconic Dunlop peg drive knock-off steel rims used by Jaguar racing. Only a small number of DeLux models were fitted with these wheels and chassis upgrades after the Twin cam models came to a halt making this even more special.
A beautiful looking motor vehicle that would compliment any car collection around the world and when it comes down to actual driving, this little MGA will keep you smiling for all the right reasons!
