1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster

Mileage : 49675 miles
Colour : Blue

Welcome to Road and Race Introducing our latest Bombshell of a car. Yes, I said bombshell as the body resembles a bomb from World War II and this was the car of choice that returning soldier bought themselves. The vehicle model is very popular in the Low Rider community in the USA.
The Fleetmaster and Fleetline models were built from 1946 – 1948 and over these 3 years, there are small differences with the grills and hood emblems.

So, let’s talk about our Fleetmaster. She in her own right is a gem with the patina in the paintwork and on the interior of the dash. To the fact that she starts first time, every time. The 216Cu straight-six is sweet music to listen to with lots of torque but smooth. If you are not used to driving cars from the 40s the 3spd manual box can be a little tricky but once you have got it, it’s easy and if you don’t the engine torque helps there too.
We can see why once you drive the car, why the Low Rider community love this and besides the beautiful body lines, the ride is smooth and the suspension sucks up the road bumps like they aren’t even there and some model cars could learn from this Fleetmaster.
Then there is the interior, the two bench seats give you plenty of space to seat yourself and you’re your family or friends. When we talk about space in this car it’s probably, at the time a middle-class limousine.
The current owner has done a lot to preserve this car and has spent money on the interior and has redone the roof lining and seats but has left lots of room for our own personal customisation.

To summarise this gem, it will serve its new owners many years to come, as she is or as a customised project car to restore or Hot Rod. But a sure thing is that its value can only rise as investment

So if you want to step back in time and own an American Icon then you should give us a call and book a viewing.
