The MGA was produced from 1955 to 1962 as replacement for the MGTF 1500 Midget and breaking the mould of its old sports car look to the sleek sports car that it is.

The MGA was officially launched in Sept of 1955 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. During the building span there were 101 081 unit built

Engine variants were 1500cc, 1600cc and the Twin Cam for racing at Le Mans with two body types being the hardtop Coupe and the drop top Roadsters.

 

So let’s introduce you to the beautifully restored MGA in light blue over a year ago by her former owner. He had a vision of his dream MGA, and therefore not a cent wasn’t spared or turned over on this build. You will not find another car like this MGA that is basically new but over 50 years old.

When you stand and look at the beauty there are hundreds of items that catch your eye from the perfectly hand-crafted tan leather roof to the matching seats, door cards and trimming of the interior and not to forget the new carpets. One can also not overlook the new set that was Imported from the UK of wire wheels and all the pristine chrome on her. There hasn’t been anything where a short cut was taken or forgotten, and we can safely say that she will turn her heads at a concourse or just driving to the local shops.

The 1500 motor with the Twin SU Carbs purrs along, as you cruise at speeds like a modern a car thanks to the 5spd Toyota Cressida Gearbox and the torquey BMC type engines.

The ride of this MGA is awesome with rare wire wheels and perfectly restored suspension, it’s very direct and to the point. And then there is the luxurious cabin, as you sit on the tan leather seats with the top up or down this is a happy space to be in. The wooden steering wheel and gear nob just finishes the touch. The gauges will work well and give you a sense of comfort knowing that this beauty will get you to your destination, which is the journey of owning a beautiful MG MGA.
