1968 Ford Escort Mk I

Transmission: Manual
Mileage: 66762 miles
Colour : Blue

The Ford Escort is perhaps the most European Iconic Fords with a Production run starting in 1967 and ended in 2004. The MARK I two-door cars are the most desirable of them and 100% collectable and the values are on the rise. These Fords also came with an array of engines from a 1.1 Crossflow to Cosworth BDA’s and the Pinto engine that is in our car.

The Mark 1 was also successful in Track and Rally Racing, still, makes an impression in the Historic racing scene today. This history is these Fords is so deep and we could give you facts on them for days but let’s dig into our Turbo Charger Animal.
Built-up with the intention of being a show car that goes fast and calls for your attention as you walk past it at your local car show. The Beautiful flowing lines of this Escort in dress in Nitrous RS Blue, make for a striking look, on the lowered and renewed suspension (New Coils and Leaf Springs), with the 15” Rotiform wheels completing the look wrapped in TROCMOX 195/50 Rubber. The Grades on the suspension and wheels are in aid to keep the powertrain in check.

The Heart of this Animal started life as a 2.0 Ford Pinto Engine, that now houses a Special Turbo ground Camshaft, Polished and Ported Heads as well as swirled and polished Valves. This engine is managed with a DICKTATOR system and fuelled with 750cc Bosch injectors. Perhaps the only stock part in this engine is the Pistons and Conrods. We have mentioned the Turbo, and, in this case, we are running T3/T4 Garret Turbo with a Front Mounted Intercooler. Naturally, all the exhaust gases are shoehorned into a Ram Horn stainless steel collector feeding the turbo, and from there they escape into a 65mm Screamer Pipe. No Turbo car would be complete without a Dump Valve to give you cool turbo noises.
Now we know about the 156Kw powertrain, we should mention that it’s mated to a 5spd manual gearbox and prop shaft to the Ford Diff. One can’t just have a fast car without thinking about stopping and this is aided with Ventilated Disks on all four corners.
There are other features that we haven’t mentioned but it’s time to tell you about this hot seat and driving this Animal. Once you are in car seating on the M135i Seats and you have started the Engine the rear experience starts, letting the BARP BARP engine warm-up, you are able to select 1st and little out the Hydraulic Clutch and the revs climb and the turbo comes she starts to scream and propels you in light years forward, you shift threw the gearbox wondering when the power is going to end, by the way, it doesn’t.

Now your heart is Racing we would suggest you come and look and test drive her yourself,
And then ask for the Pink Slip because you are going to need this Boy Racer in you Garage.
More information will be provided for serious buyers.
