Transmission: Manual

We would like welcome you to this beauty of a BMW 2000 Ti Legends Race Car. Well lets starts with some BMW History and then the hard facts about this Race Car.

The NEW CLASS or in German Neue Klasse Range is what saved BMW from the brink of destruction, producing a line of sedans and coupe’s between 1962 and 1977. This shape we can still see today in the modern BMW vehicles on there 3 & 5 Series sedans and on the coupe side of things, the 2 Series following the lines of the 2002 Coupe.

The hard facts of newly built, BMW 2000 Ti from a registered road car that is still registered with up to date license, from the ground up. Hennie van der Linde built full race 2 litre M10 with 45mm Webers, 123 programmable electronic distributor, 11,4:1 compression, 140hp on a hub dyno at 1250m altitude. Reliable 7000 rpm engine not stressed to the Nth degree. Ground-up body restoration in original polaris grey paint. Bespoke fibreglass bonnet and boot lid including inners (looks like the originals, but without the weight). 6mm plexiglass (helicopter quality) windows all round in new rubbers front and rear. New AST 1 way adjustable dampers on race springs. E30 rear suspension with aluminium 3,91:1 casing LSD. 5 Speed E46 gearbox. First HTP 2018. On the pace in the Pre ’66 U2 (Under 2 Litre) Legends Race Series from the word go and no reliability issues. Professional build by Freddie Pretorius of Fast Developments and a car to be proud of.

Just to be clear, the E30 suspension at the back is a complete E30 rear axle carrier and diff from an E30 325i including sideshafts and rear disc brakes, just with the standard E30 steel diff replaced with an aluminium housing and shorter ratio (3,91:1) and a proper race Limited Slip Diff clutch pack. Much stronger and tougher than the original 2002 axle and diff assembly, so helps with reliability and spare parts. And the final fact is that the Roll Cage has recently been FIA certified

So if this all sound good and you want to go racing, we have the complete package to get you going,
Come in have a look and if its up your street, lets book a track day for you to test the vehicle.
