1993 Mercedes Benz 190 2.3

Transmission : Manual
Mileage : 233 556km
Colour : Burgundy

When one thinks about the Mercedes Benz 190E 2.3 (W201) the first thing that comes to mind is the Golden Era of DTM (Deutscher Touring Meisterschaft) and how the 190 went door to door with the BMW 325i at the time, also remembering the AMG Company was not part of Mercedes.

We are introducing the original small super saloon car for the highways and byways in the form of our burgundy Merc 190E.
She is still as punchy as the day she come off the show room floor and yet still maintains the luxury of a Mercedes Benz.
Mercedes often did two tone colours on their vehicles at the time, but this girl is a matching colour, which brings us to the paintwork itself. This vehicle has never been painted and the owner was super proud to tell us this. But if there was something that we would do to bring her up to a higher standard, it would be to respray the front bumper.
Get into the cabin of this beautiful example, you’ll find yourself held in the front seats like a boy racer with the comfortable bucket like seats all wrapped in black leather – which follows through the car on the dashboard and instruments, with a little wood finish in the centre console.

Starting the 2.3 Liter and driving a manual Mercedes you have some racing expectations, and she delivers pulling 55kph from 1st gear and 100kph in 2nd gear and one would just want her to rush to top speed. But… we all drive with in the laws, and she is happy cruising at 120kph at 2800rpm and another 3000rpm to hand. The ride is super smooth and it can handle the twisty roads with ease.
In summary this super saloon is a good all-rounder from the solid engine, body and interior making her an option as good daily or weekend cruiser which is remarkable for a car of its age.
